On Friday, May 23rd, Legionnaires and Auxiliary Members, distributed Poppies for National Poppy Day.
The red poppy is a symbol of sacrifice and is worn to remember those who have served and died for our country. Monies collected on this day of rememberance, directly support Veterans and families of Veterans who are in need.
From left to right, Legionnaires Jim Wright, Tom Dowd and Greg Genslinger. To see a few more photos, please go to our Photo Gallery.
Also participating in the event were fellow Auxiliary Members, Claudia Osero, Karen Dowd and Laurie Genslinger.
Thank you to all of the community members who offered support for Veterans on Poppy Day!
